Declan is 6 today! It's hard to believe this guy will be in first grade next school year and that he's the older brother to three younger siblings now! I don't stop and acknowledge it nearly as often as I should, but I am so thankful for my babies. We've had some tough days, some very exhausting days, and some days that I wished for bedtime before breakfast was over. But God gave us these little people to parent, to love, to teach, to snuggle even when the days aren't easy. And I know that I complain so much more than rejoice in these precious gifts God has given that I do not deserve. So today I am thankful. 💙💙

We officially have a two year old! Astrid's been the most independent of all of the kids, always wanting to be like the big kids and do what they're doing, but she's also the most cuddly. She loves pancakes, babies, Anna and Elsa and all the Frozen songs, doing everything just like her big siblings, holding and giving baby brother kisses, hugs, snacks, singing, and going outside. We're so thankful for this little girl! 💜 #astridevangeline

Feeling a little off today most likely because I didn't get much sleep last night or nearly enough coffee today. First bath tonight went well, which has never been the case for any of our babies. The rest of our kids basically hated the bath until they could sit up in the tub themselves. Fenton loved every minute of it and only cried when we took him out. 💦🛀🏻🐟 #fentonleo

Finished the chairs last night with this new paint called fusion mineral paint. I did a decent amount of research on paint because I knew with seven people using and abusing these on the regular it needed to hold up well and be easy to clean. They don't sell it at hardware stores so I had to hunt it down at a little shop in Stillwater that happened to sell it. I didn't have to sand the chairs first (although I did scuff them up just a bit) and it went on really nice so now we'll see how it holds up!

I may have an extra set of bags under my eyes now, haven't showered very often lately, my brain is a bit foggy these days, and I just recovered from a nasty bout of mastitis.
