I’m really thankful that we’ve been able to keep the windows open longer than two weeks this fall. Because the breeze through those windows every night and the sound of the rain coming down has been pretty much the best thing ever.

A cool, rainy, and gray September day and dad’s still on a work trip, which means it’s a little chaotic over here. Since we can’t get to a park today we decided to rearrange, pull out all the fall books, hang last years’ cutout pumpkins, and we’ll be watching Room on the Broom tonight after dinner. Which will be something very easy and definitely not homemade because #momstired

Normal. Completely normal. Really though, this guy just started first grade this year and the other day, as we were attempting to work through his phonics book together, he is standing up, leaning his arms and upper torso on the table, while his feet and legs are wildly dancing, hopping, and flailing about. Me, “What is going on here?” Looking at me with a smirk, “I don’t know what is happening right now, mom. My legs started moving and I don’t even know how to stop them!” #ohisthatall? #makestotalsense #cantstopmoving

We just found out that Dustin has to go out of town on a work trip for a few days and I’m over here frantically making lists of all the things to stock up on. Because I’m just positive I’ll run out of coffee creamer (or coffee😨), frozen pizza, diapers, or other essentials in the three days he’s gone. #itwillhappen #beprepared
