Next week it’ll be three years since we moved into this 102 year old house and it’s gone so fast. We fell in love with the house and have since grown to love the history of the area, the parks, the lake, the church bells that ring every day at noon and six, the small town, and most of all the neighbors. #soverythankful

Little pumpkins everywhere. This is why decorating for fall is the easiest. Just don’t forget where you put them all or they’ll rot and ruin your furniture. Not that I have personal experience with that or anything... 😬😒🎃

I thought it was amusing when one of our neighbors told me this summer that she thinks of our house as “the house of music.” I asked her if it’s because of the screaming and noise from five little children constantly coming from our house or...? She just laughed and assured me that it’s all good sounds. So I’m convinced that somehow the shrills and shrieks and constant noise over here magically turn into lovely sounds as they hit the neighbors’ ears. But then maybe, too often, I think of the sounds my children make as just noise, as distracting, and loud instead of music to my ears. Maybe I could learn a lesson from my neighbor. #spotthelego #findthegood #abeautifulmess #joyfulmamas

This girl is a napper. She easily takes a solid 3 hour (or longer) nap every single afternoon. But even better than having a good napper is hearing the stories she tells me after each nap. She has the best post-nap stories. ☺️I love this girl.

Astrid takes such good care of her little “Fenty.” She comes into our room first thing every single morning and wants a front row spot next to him, giving him all the hugs, bringing him toys, and talking to him. She is sure to tell everyone that he is her baby and she watches out for him like a little mama hen. While sibling rivalry and fights can be deafening and overwhelming at times, I am so thankful for the love and concern they have for each other too. #mortalenemiesorbestfriends #siblings
